Akshay with Offline - Degthai in Nashville is clearly a local favorite — and for good reason. Even close to closing time, people just keep walking in. It’s always busy, and that alone says a lot. What’s interesting is that despite the crowd, the restaurant operates without the traditional host/hostess setup. You simply order at the counter and then grab a table. It may feel different for those used to full-service restaurants, but it works surprisingly well here. The menu itself is not huge, but everything on it feels intentional. We started with their street dumplings, which were absolutely delicious — perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. We then tried the Kra Prad Moo Kai Dad with chicken (their take on basil chicken), the chicken red curry, and the Tiew Gang Vegan ramen-style noodles. All three dishes were excellent. The flavors were bold and authentic, the portions generous, and the quality consistent across every plate. Service was fast despite the crowd, and the restaurant was clean and well-maintained. The only challenge here is table availability, especially during busy hours — so be prepared to either wait or get lucky. Overall, Degthai delivers great food, efficient service, and a lively atmosphere. I genuinely enjoyed everything we ordered and look forward to visiting again. Highly recommended if you’re in the area and craving flavorful Thai cuisine.

Came in with my wife and loved the easy menu. I was able to customize my curry with ramen noodles instead; it was extremely delicious. The spices they provide at the table made the dishes pop and the dumplings were also great. Wonderful staff with the fast paced environment. Great value for the money. It was pricey but the flavor was worth it. There is a reason this place is a Nashville staple.

Food is amazing! From the green curry to the kra pao moo to the tom yum soup! Outstanding. The noodle in the soup was delicious as was the perfect texture. Medium spice was perfect for us and maybe next time we’ll get hot!

Thai food is one of those things that can be hard to come by and thankfully there’s a place like Degthai. The menu is minimalistic (a good thing) with Thai classics like curry and Pad Thai. Dumplings and spring rolls are also available. Ordering is quick and easy and seating was plentiful. The food came out quick and fresh. I had the chicken Pad Thai and my wife had red curry. My noodles were chewy and I ordered mild, which was tasty but didn’t pack any heat and I couldn’t find or taste any peanuts in the dish. Where as my wife’s curry was mild and had a good amount of heat and flavor to it. With some of the spices at the table, I was able to adjust the heat and flavor on mine and next time I’ll know to get medium. Not a complaint really, as I did enjoy my food. But all to say, the food is fresh and tasty. I’d gladly go back for another meal.

We found out about this gem of a restaurant thanks to a local and we were so glad we had dinner here. The atmosphere is very casual. The place got very busy just over an hour before closing on a Sunday. Staff is very friendly. You order at the counter, they give you a number, and they bring your food to where you sit. The food is served pretty quick and hot. The portions are plentiful and the flavors are amazing. Would absolutely come back.

If I could put 10/10 I would. This place was simply amazing. They may have a small menu for some, but the items are perfected! The dumplings were TO DIE FOR! Shrimp pad thai was amazing, full of flavor. The red curry was awesome, bold flavors, super smooth. I will be coming back again and again. Great job!

This was a new experience. I’ve been to Thai places before and most were quite delicious. This wasn’t as good as those. The issue I had, especially with the Pad Thai, is that the dishes were too sweet. And maybe that’s just my own previous experiences. But I’ve had more savory experiences in the past and it didn’t seem like those dishes were as sweet. But, the service and atmosphere were fantastic. The hostess was nice and the servers were more than willing to help out. Plus, I went up and asked for more rice (my daughter destroys some white rice) and they were more than happy enough to give me another single serving without charging me. So, overall our experience was a 4 or 4.5. It was purely the sweetness of the dishes that dissuaded me from giving it a 5. Also, the cost was a bit more than we’d have liked. But we are trying to be more on a budget and so splurging once in a while is okay.

Degthai gave me one of the most exciting Thai food experiences I’ve had so far. The main dish had a unique balance of tangy and sweet flavors that kept every bite interesting. But the real highlight of this place was the fried rice. Each grain was perfectly cooked — fluffy, not greasy — a textbook example of how fried rice should be done. It’s a restaurant I’d revisit without hesitation whenever I’m craving a solid, delicious meal. Despite its street food concept, the place was very clean — and the restroom was especially spotless. Highly recommended!
